Is this the same Mustang from the movie Gone In 60 Seconds?
‍Yes! “Eleanor” was a modified 1967 Mustang that appeared in the 2000 Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster.  We are now building a continuation series based on the original cars we built for the movie.

‍Why are there changes on the Gone Again continuation cars that are different from the original Eleanor?
‍The original movie cars were just that…only for looks!  Many of those cars were not complete, did not run, or were used only for specific shots.  Our continuation series cars are made to be owned and operated daily.  They are also built with nearly double or triple the power of the original cars.  With safety in mind, certain parts needed to be upgraded such as brakes and  wheel/tire size. Aside from technical upgrades, our cars are as accurate to the original Steve Stanford designs as possible. 

‍What is an “Eleanor” Mustang?
‍“Eleanor” refers to the name given to the 1967 Shelby GT500 in the 2000 movie “Gone in Sixty Seconds”.  It was one of 50 cars the lead character “Memphis Raines”, played by Nicolas Cage, would need to steal to complete his objective.  

‍What is the process for ordering a Gone Again Eleanor?
‍There are multiple, easy ways to order your Gone Again continuation car.  Our website has a Reservation form that allows you to build and order your car directly and review all options available.  If you wish to speak with one of our representatives, our team is happy to assist with ordering and answering any questions via email, phone, or video meetings.  

‍Who designed and created the original Eleanor?
‍Jeff Mann, production coordinator for the movie, hired acclaimed and talented hot rod illustrator Steve Stanford to create the original sketches to upgrade the 1967 Shelby GT500 they had chosen to be the movie “halo car”.  Chip Foose took those drawings and created the clay and wood molds for the body parts.  Ray Claridge and his team at Cinema Vehicle Services were then hired by Mann to build the actual cars for the movie using those parts from Foose.  13 were built in total.  1 prototype never used in the movie, 11 movie cars, and 1 last car built for Jerry Bruckheimer.  Only 7 of those vehicles survived the movie filming

‍What is the purpose of Gone Again building a continuation Eleanor?
‍After decades of watching “tribute cars”, “replicas”, and “reproductions” being made, and many of them to questionable quality standards, Ray Claridge wanted to complete something that he had always wanted to do.  To build the highest quality standard Eleanor based on the original designs, parts, and by the original team that built them.

‍Is Eleanor a Shelby GT500?
‍Our team is a collection of die hard, car guys.  The thought of ripping apart a real 1967 Shelby GT500 is as crazy to us as it is to our clients.  Although the car in the movie was supposed to be a Shelby, none of the vehicles used in the movie or that we built are based on actual Shelby GT500’s except for one car given to Jerry Bruckheimer after the completion of the movie.  We do begin with an original 1967 chassis for authenticity.  We do not start with newly built restomod chassis available on the market today. 

‍Does Gone Again build their Eleanor from a Shelby GT500?
‍No, our cars start as an original 1967 Mustang Fastback that we source once we have begun your order.  Our team does not believe that an original Shelby should not be damaged or altered, however, if a client has a donor car he would like us to use, we can do so. 

‍Do we have any Gone Again Eleanors ready for delivery?  Or are they built to order?
‍Every one of our Gone Again continuation cars are built to order for our clients.  With that, we are able to customize the cars to the owners needs without straying far from the original designs.

‍The official color is from Dupont, Pepper Grey Metallic (Code 44490).

‍Where is the original “Eleanor” Mustang?
‍Of the original 11 cars built for the movie, only 7 survived.  The 3 “hero cars” most associated with the movie are in private hands or museums.  The other 4 are in private hands.
